I'll admit it: I've jumped on the Illinois bandwagon. I normally hate > everyone in the Big 10 both collectively and individually (anyone who > willingly associates with Ohio State deserves to be hated by any > right-thinking individual), but I'd like to see the Illini run the table.
Biggest upset in years (since 1990, probably) if the Illini don't win the title. There's simply no one in their class.

Sorry, but that makes no sense. If there is one school that associates with Ohio State more than any other school, even it be it through rivalries, it would be Michigan.
And what is there to like about Michigan? I mean, classy school with traditional winning programs, but if you hate tOSU because they win, you should hate Michigan even more. They think they have a standing invite to anyone's stadium AND they have the Pukie as their roundball coach.
I like this one (From the yahoo sports site): Minnesota (20-9, 10-6) The good: Won 4 in a row. The bad: Home losses to Florida State, Northwestern. The verdict: Only a crazy scenario could keep out Gophers.
Call me crazy then, but I don't see them as "in". Though this is REALLY a bubble team. It's looking more to me like there will be only 3 BigTen teams again this year.

The thing is, it's hard to really say in isolation. You've got to say what other teams are going in instead. And account for all the spots. Which of course you can't do completely because it isn't yet known how many at large spots will be used on deserving teams that don't win their conference tournaments.

Fair enough - I never claimed to be objective.
You honestly believe that Michigan fans are more obnoxious than Penn State> fans? Dude, they're not even in the same league.
It's simply a matter of who I know. I know a ton of Michigan fans, and most are obnoxious (about football, at least). I only know two Penn State fans, and with the problems PSU has had recently, they've had no room to be obnoxious. If I lived closer to Pennsylvania instead of Michigan, my perception might well be different. Also, Penn State just hasn't been in the conference long enough for me to care one way or another about them.

FWIW, my impression certainly agrees with yours, that Michigan fans are the most obnoxious in the Big Ten. Seriff might be coming from a rsfc perspective, though, where perhaps there are some obnoxious Penn State fans.
