If your ball was caught by the center fielder, you flied out, but if you took a 767 to the coast, you flew out.

JJ Redick is "everyman."
I can't for the life of me figure out what race has to do with anything as far as "JJ hating" is concerned. If JJ had any class and was simply a deadly shooter turned all around deadly offensive force, he'd be "hated" by opponent's fans just for being so good. But it would be the hate generated by tremendous respect, and that's a Good Thing(tm).
What JJ has more of, though, is *real* hate because not only is he so good, when he's on, he's as cocky as they come. The head wagging all the way down court after a big shot makes him a vile little man with no class who can stick a dagger in you. Hey, even Michael Jordan had people who *really* hated him because he would do those things (though probably not even to the level of JJ), and he was the Best Player On Earth(tm) at the time. JJ is not even *near* The Best Player on Earth(tm), and as such doesn't need to be doing that kind of wagging. No way, no how.
But on the flip side, as a Duke fan, I don't begrudge you your ability to *love* the kid. I can't imagine anyone being proud of his post-shot antics, but he's certainly not so over-the-top that Duke fans should get on his case. He is who he is. But he does create some of the hatred that exists, so he shouldn't be a whiny little baby about it, either.

Please. Duke was preseason #11 in SI. I don't believe anyone picked> GT to 'crush' them this year. And if that is the case vs. Ga Tech, I> guess Va Tech really rules because they beat both Duke and Ga Tech.> Enough with the 'cinderella devils' already. But is UNC plays like it did at NCSU, it will be hard to figure out who to award the win to. Loser vs loser.

Yes.
Anyway, I'm not sure we Carolina fans are in too good a position to > talk. McCants' triangle thing he does isn't exactly letting your game > speak for itself.
Well, his crossed arms thing was supposed to stand for "dominate." That's bad. But the triangle thing is supposed to mean "family" and is taken from some rap video where they do the same thing, from what I understand. That being the case, I don't think you can say much bad about it. Of course, because it's Rashad everyone assumes the worst.

Well, whatever it's supposed to mean, it also means "hey, look at me." I just think he'd make a better impression if he didn't seem to crave attention so much. I also think he's working harder than some people give him credit for.
Sorry that last post got sent twice, btw. Clumsiness.

A Dukie saying UNC has the best fans? WTF? I wondered what those four> horsemen were doing in the sky this afternoon.
You saw it too? I thought I needed to switch brands.

Given his looks their might be a bit of jealousy. That kid has it made.
I'm starting to wonder why you keep commenting on his looks ...
(Again, not that there's anything wrong with that.)
