All this 10-game winning streak proves is that the Yankees are just good enough to feast on the weaker teams, such as Oakland and Seattle. It does not yet prove, in my opinion, that the Yankees are a playoff contender, much less a pennant contender. -- Corby Gilmore corby@ncf.ca

I think Mikey's had enough bad luck this year....whether you root for him or not, it doesn't matter, lets all say a prayer for him. He's in a bad spot right now, lets help a brother out.

You pray for people when they have real problems, not lack of talent or common sense. Mikey is a very lucky man. He is a below average driver yet, he has been fortunate enough to have hooked himself up with some pretty competent teams & sponsors over the years which in turn has made him a rather successful person. He has also nurtured his "dumbass hick" persona to make himself reasonably marketable to advertisers. Yes, he has gotten himself in over his head owning a team that he has no business savvy to run or technical knowledge to help, and yes, he *fell asleep* lol, and destroyed a rather expensive SUV (and his reputation to an extent..), but don't cry for Mikey. - He has a SMOKING HOT wife, beautiful children, he lives in a large, expensive mansion, owns an airplane, has loads of friends, and has more money stuck under the cushions of his couch than most of us have in our retirement plans... If it weren't for his brother, he'd probably be the assistant manager at some local soft-serve ice cream parlor. (Couldn't you just see him there with a big, stupid hat and the red & white striped shirt with a bow tie?) LOL. Sorry, but I just can't get all bound up about, and feel sad for poor, dumb, rich Mikey...
