Is there some exception to the "seven-inning-game"­ hoopla that allows
this, or is this a "no game"?

If the NCAA wants to obey its own ruling, this should not be considered a
game.

Apparently that ruling only applies to regular season games, because the
SEC just applied the mercy rule to Florida. The MVC is also using it.

Although I notice a bunch of other leagues (MWC, A-Sun, CAA, etc.)
aren't using the mercy rule in their tournaments.
