Bonds was rather public with his statements that Balco doing blood work to see which minerals his body needed took his game and body to the next level.
I think Balco knowing the had untraceable steroids gave them to the players saying they were something different, like flaxseed oil. They figured tests wouldn't find this so it would be okay. Balco was doping players without their knowledge.

No way. If this was the case, Bonds (and many other players) would have> sued Balco a long time ago.

Seems to have happened in soccer.
The Juventus team doctor was recently convicted of administering EPO to some of the players without their knowledge.
Some of the biggest in the game were involved, and best I can there's no widespread disbelief in the testimony of the players (that they never knowingly took EPO)>

With what proof?
Funny thing Doc, if Bonds wasn't a Giant I doubt you'd be so in the dark. There are drugs out on the market for example that hurt more than they help. But the drug companies say they're good for you. so it's so. The proof needs to from the consumer who has no means in which to finance a study. Proving Bonds has used steroid is fairly difficult as well. Using common sense and basic logic however makes it pretty clear what's up. Despite what Barry whines about, the league and the government surely don't want him busted. It would be a huge blow to baseball and the record books.
