I am thinking of playing some fantasy baseball, but since I am a relatively new baseball fan, and have little experience at fantasy baseball, I would like to try a free game to practice before I pay for the more hard-core fantasy games (such as over on the MLB website). Sandbox used to have free games, but I just visited and it looks like they are strictly pay to play now. Are there any free fantasy sites left? Or will I just have to be content with playing APBA 66 and MVP 2004 all alone for the season?
Thanks in advance!

Yahoo is good, but if you do a public league, you have the danger of having people stop participating half way though.. If you can get friends together and form a private league that might be best. But you should have fun in a public league as well.
If I do decide to pay to play, what are the more "affordable" options? Or, perhaps more accurately, the games where you get what you pay for?
